| What are custom fields? Can I send same footer in all my emails? |
Custom fields are chunks of html/text that you create in adminpanel and send them in emails.
For example: You want to send same footer in all html emails. Then you will create a 'general-footer' custom field. Script
generates a tag for you like [general-footer]. If you keep this tag in out going email, all emails go with this SAME footer.
- If you want to change the footer, you can just change it in one place. NOT ALL emails. That is the advantage of
custom fields.
- You can create signatures, ads, promotional links, header and footer files etc. So its easy to insert in to all emails.
You can also:
- Create general custom tags that goes in ALL emails. OR
- Specific custom fields to one particular autoresponder.
You can also have:
- html version and
- text version of custom fields.
So they go in respective email formats.
