login works not

after my install with no errors I see the login page. I enter "admin", "admin" and why I see only the login page? I see not an error message! Your tool change not to the admin area!

So you upgraded or a fresh install?

You mean after entering admin/admin, you are coming to same login page?

If you upgraded from previous install, you should be using admin/oldpassword.

Which browser are you using?

Try to run the installation again. On admin configuration screen (last page of installation), in the login path - have you put ' / ' after the url?

If still not working > submit a helpdesk ticket with your web panel info.

I'm having the exact same problem. Everything installed fine, when I go to admin and put in admin and admin like it said, it just reloads the login page. Cookies are enabled. I tried it with and without a trailing slash when I set it up. I used IE and Firefox on Windows XP and Firefox on Mac OSX.

I have same problem...

installed from fresh, all install went fine, then try to log into admin with user "admin" and pass "admin", but page just reloads on submit, not logging me in.

Please advise...

Really want to use this script and was hoping to setup this morning as part of a project i am working on.

Please advise of how to fix login problem or correct details for login, as source is all ioncubed so its not simple to find?

I also tried the "Lost Password" link and received email with link to reset password.
I entered my new password and then message says i can now log in.
I try to login with user "admin" and password that i set and still same problem - not logging in and just reloads page.

Can you give me a day or two?

I don't have any problem on my server. So something specific to your server, I guess.

I have my clients login info who has the same problem. I will try to check this on his server and post an update here.

Hi,

Please follow this steps:

1. Create a file on your computer named htaccess.txt

2. Keep the following line in it and save.
php_flag register_globals on

3. Upload the file to article script directory in ASCII mode.

4. Rename it to .htaccess.

5. Try accesing the adminpanel now.

I tried that and got a 500 error.

Remove 'php_flag register_globalson' from htaccess (may be your API is CGI). Close all browsers and open a new one. Try loggng.

Yes the API is CGI. I also did a fresh install and still having the same problem.

Then you need to keep 'php_flag register_globals on' in php.ini. NOT in .htaccess file. Ty that and let me know.

Well just got a msg from my tech support, they said they cannot do that because it is a security problem.

just finished step 5 of set up of rv article script and came stuck at admin panel. i have tried entering admin for UN and admin for password and it just keeps either sending me a msg saying wrong password or returns me to same login page... suggestions to complete please???

Close the browser you are using.
Open new browser > go to http://yoursite/script/admin/index.php and try login.

Ok I go to link as suggested which I have included below, but all i get is my home page. This suggests to me something is not right.

I have also tried a number of times the lost password option at

but this does the same, enter new password and enter then back to login page

Any suggestions how I sort this or am I missing something simple??

1. Have you tried changing password thru phpmyadmin? (directly in database)

2. Try deleting all tables > try running setup again.

did you find out the problem? same problem here too, admin login just refreshes

ok I did a clean install. when trying to login with internet explorer the error icon flashed for a second, which indicates an error in your code. I couldnt track the error

i tried to login with firefox, and i turned on the error console.

It seems you may have a bad function in the login script .
